A letter to Santa Claus

Dear Santa Claus,

I know that this year, due to the crisis, you must be overloaded with requests.
I wish that this Christmas there was no hunger and throughout the world there was peace. I wish that all children had a house, a family, a lap and lots of love.
Christmas should be experienced during all year. We should be loving, sharing, giving and smiling every day!
I want to ask you to put in all chimneys happiness and good health. Bring us the recipe for how to end poverty and hunger because as you know there are many children in the world  who die for lack of food.
Install peace in the world, no more wars, that's enough of destruction and deaths. Make the sun shine for everyone without exception!

Merry Christmas to you too!  A kiss
                                                                     Eva   (7th grade student)

HI EVERYONE!

CHRISTMAS IS COMING AND, ALTHOUGH IT MAY NOT BE EASY TO GET THE PRESENT WE WOULD LIKE THIS YEAR, WE STILL CAN DREAM AND...

MAKE A WISH!

HERE IS OUR CHRISTMAS WISH TREE.
Let’s “decorate” it with all our wishes. Let’s hope some of them come true!!!

This tree will be decorated with all your wishes, which will appear below it.
For that, write down your wish (individually or in group), ask your english teacher to have a look at it (if necessary) and then ask her to give it to the teachers responsible for the " English Corner".

Here are some of our students' wishes.
I

I would like to receive clothes, a mobile phone and  have a year full of love, friendship and peace. But what matters to me are not the gifts but having a happy Christmas with all my family.
Filipa, 7th grade

My Christmas wishes are to go to London with my best friend and attend a concert of our favourite band. I would like to have a Iphone too.

For Christmas our wishes are:

NUNO MARQUES, RICARDO ASCENSÃO E JOÃO CARLOS, 11F

We wish you to have a great future, full of great things.

SARAMAGO, NAMORA AND WOLF, 11F

I wanted to be Santa Claus
And have a car with reindeers
To land on rooftops,
Next to people’s aerials.

With my bag
I would go down long chimneys
Loaded with toys and clothes,
tiptoeing.

In each house
I would change
a dream for a gift.
Which job could be prettier
 than make people happy.

Ana Miguel, 7th grade

Thanksgiving

"Thanksgiving Day is a holiday celebrated primarily in the United States and Canada. Thanksgiving is celebrated each year on the fourth Thursday of November in the United States and on the second Monday of October in Canada. Because of the longstanding traditions of the holiday, the celebration often extends to the weekend that falls closest to the day it is celebrated."  Source: wikipedia

CAMILO SCHOOL TRIP TO LONDON

Many students  from the 11th form went to London by the end of March with some teachers to visit the most important places there. Besides visiting Madame Tussaud's, the Museum of Natural History, the British Museum, The Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, etc, they also had the opportunity of strolling around London, travelling by bus, underground, cruise ( to Tower Bridge) and enjoying the most spectacular views from the London Eye.The chance of getting in touch with the language, the culture and habits of the Londoners was indeed cool and rewarding. The musical " We Will Rock You" was a "hit"in the visit.
